Season’s Greetings: Exciting New Partnership Between Bikes 4 Life and Foodora

Australian not-for-profit Bikes 4 Life have announced a new partnership with food delivery service provider, Foodora, as part of Bikes 4 Life’s work to alleviate poverty around the world by donating bikes to those most in need. Through the freedom and independence the bikes provide, Bikes 4 Life helps lay the foundations for social and economic empowerment.

Foodora is dedicated to bringing food lovers around the world their favourite meals from local curated restaurants. One of their most popular forms of transportation is through a fleet of their contracted riders, in which, Bikes 4 Life has been enlisted to ensure their bikes are safe to ride.

“Any safety initiative should be commended and we welcome Foodora’s continued support for their riders and their invaluable support for Bikes 4 Life.” says Angela Poon, Melbourne workshop manager.

Ebony Butler, founder of Bikes 4 life says Foodora has been such a great support to Bikes 4 Life over the past 12 months and have donated many items such as bike carry racks for the transportation of food and other goods, that will be invaluable in Africa, which is where we predominantly operate and donate bikes, tools and bike education to.”

Lizzie Kaye, PR Manager for Foodora says “We are humbled that Foodora can play a small role in helping the wider community through our contributions to Bikes 4 Life. In addition, we are grateful that we can help support our riders – who are an integral part of our business – during the festive season.”

The two organisations are hosting a Christmas Party and free Bike Safety Checks at Bikes 4 Life’s Melbourne workshop on Wednesday 6th December at 26 Gwynne Street Cremorne for Foodora’s contracted riders in Melbourne and volunteers at Bikes 4 Life.

Together Bikes 4 Life and Foodora hope to continue their planned efforts to better the lives of those who are vulnerable and less fortunate. Bikes 4 Life is a completely volunteer run organisation with open volunteer days every Sunday and Wednesday in Cremorne, and they encourage the wider community to get involved.
